Recipe: Peach Cobbler

A dessert that's both super simple & fast to make but will aboslutely leave your party guests asking if they can get your grandma's super secret recipe? Yes please! For added oomph, add a couple of pinches of cinnamon to your peach mix before boiling. Do Grandma VOLY proud younglings.
INGREDIENTS (SERVES 8)
1/2 cup butter, melted
1 can or jar of sliced peaches, drained
1 1/4 cups brown sugar
1 cup flour, all purpose
2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
1 cup milk
Thickened cream, whipped (optional)
Vanilla ice cream (optional)
METHOD
- Preheat your oven to 200C while you pour butter into a baking dish.
- Drain your peaches along with 1/4 cup of the juice into a saucepan and just bring to a boil.
- Combine 1 cup sugar, flour, baking powder and salt in a seperate bowl. Stir in milk and mix well. Pour the mix over the butter in the baking dish before spooning hot peaches over the batter. Sprinkle remaining 1/4 cup sugar and bake for 20-25 mins, until bubbly and golden.
- Serve your cobbler warm with ice cream and whipped cream if you're feeling boujee.
